MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM

Master of Theology (45 credit hours)

The Master of theology degree is designed to develop a mastery of theological themes though out Scripture.  One will become more aware of how God relates to man through    to approval by the admissions office.  The master thesis is a mandatory requirement worth 18 credit hours.  Credits may be earned by:

  1. Transfer of courses from an approved college, university, or seminary
  2. A warding of credit for learning achieved through life experience and
  3. Completing courses with Word Aflame Theological College & Seminary.


THE MASTER THESIS

The master degree student is required to complete an intense course of study culminating in a master thesis that relates directly to the degree major. The master thesis must contain the following components:

  1. Reading assignments equal to about 8,000 pages (approximately 40 textbooks).
  2. Footnotes or end notes as prescribed by the seminary guidelines.
  3. A complete bibliography of all resources.
  4. A soft-bound copy is to be submitted for review and evaluation.

Prerequisites are:

  1. Verification of high school.
  2. Official transcripts (sent directly to Word Aflame Theological Seminary)
  3. Must have an earned Bachelor’s degree
  4. Course word – 27 semester hours
  5. Master Thesis – 18 credit hours

THE DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAMS

The Doctoral Degree Programs (60 credit hours)

Requirements:

The doctorate is awarded for completion of and advanced course of study culminating in a doctoral dissertation. A Bachelor and Master degree from an approved college or seminary is required for acceptance into this program. Only “B” work and above will count toward graduation requirements.
 

THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATION

The doctoral student is required to complete an intense course of study culminating in a doctoral dissertation that relates directly to the degree major. The dissertation must contain the following components:

  1. Reading assignments equal to about 8000 to 10,000 pages (25 to 30 textbooks).
  2. Footnotes or endnotes as prescribed by the seminary guidelines.
  3. A complete bibliography of all resources.
  4. Two hardbound copies are to be submitted for review and evaluation.
  5. The dissertation will be submitted in three stages:
    1. The completed outline, dissertation statement and bibliography (RE 620), five semester hours.
    2. The completed rough draft (RE 621), five semester hours.
    3. Two hardbound copies of the final dissertation (RE 622), ten semester hours

Prerequisites are:

  1. High school Verification

  3. A minimum of 30 hours must be earned with WATS
  4. Course work – 40 Semester hours
