Dear Students
Thank you for choosing Word Aflame Theological Seminary as the God anointed instrument to train you in your theological vocation.
I am extremly grateful because of the unprecedented growth we are experiencing around the United States. WATS is offering one of the finest on campus and long-distance programs available.
God spoke to me after 30 years in ministry as a professional counselor, Bishop, Pastor and a Bible college Professor; to train His army for the last day harvest. Jesus went away to prepare a place for His church but He is coming again soon. Jesus died for the whole world and He came to seek and to save the lost. Presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ as a skillful soul winner to the lost is God’s top priority in His church.
God, Elohim is the creator of the universe, the uncaused cause. He is the self-existence one, the eternal God, “from everlasting to everlasting thou art God.” And beside him there is no other God. In Genesis chapter one there are 31 verses, The word God is used 32 times in that chapter because God is revealing Himself to man. Our purpose is to carry on the work of redemption by bringing others to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christianity is unique because it is the only religious faith that has God as it’s founder. In the incarnation, He took on flesh, came to earth to reveal himself as the only true God by laying aside his fleshly body in death, brought it alive in the resurrection and became the propitiation and the atonement for our sin. We have the greatest message in the world and everybody need to know. May WATS help prepare you to be apart of the army that will invade our world with the power of the gospel.
Thank you again for your decision to receive your theological training from Word Aflame Theological seminary.
In Christ,
Dr. Nathaniel P. Hayes, Sr., M.A., Th.D., Ph.D.

Statements of Faith
We believe in the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God, the revelation of His mind.
We believe in and will to man, our infallible, all sufficient guide for salvation and for the Christian life.
We believe in one God, the Creator of all, who is the eternal self-existing one. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is very God and very man begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and that He had a perfect and sinless humanity
We believe in the depravity of the nature of man through his fall in the Garden of Eden, and the absolute inability of man to save himself from eternal punishment by his own words.
We believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, through which sacrifice Christ has affected complete and eternal redemption. God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and enthroned Him in heaven. He is the Head of the Church.
We believe in the new birth and in eternal life, water baptism, Holy Communion, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the great commission, sanctification, and holy living.
We believe in the reality of Satan, demons, and the reality of angels
We believe in the resurrection of the dead: some to life everlasting and some to eternal punishment
We believe in the rapture of the church, the second coming of Christ
